Data networks face ever increasing demands on the maximum bandwidth it can handle with VoIP telephone and IP CCTV, along with hardware upgrades and replacements. The network cabling is often overlooked. Structured Cabling that works under lower load conditions will not perform as well in a busy network and combined with age or poor standards of initial installation can result in the network slowing to a crawl.

Its almost impossible to isolate a network fault if you are not certain that the actual cabling infrastructure can handle the bandwidth.

A Mod Tap Continuity tester  will only test Wire Map proving the physical connections are good it will not test these other parameters which solely or collectively will affect performance

Our trained engineers use Fluke Networks’ DSX CableAnalyzer which meets the Intertek (ETL) Certification in accordance with the IEC-61935-1 specifications for accuracy Level IV, the draft accuracy Level V and in accordance with the ANSI/TIA-1152 specifications for Level IIIe for all our Cable testing and certification work to ensure that the structured cable meets the standard for the class of cable installed

We can test and certify Copper networks up to CAT 8 as well as  Multimode and Singlemode Fibre Optic cable and MPO fibre producing a set of comprehensive results based on the tests parameters described above. The results can then be compared to those supplied when the structured cabling was first installed to see if any degradation has occurred.

This service is also used by Electrical Contractors and Office refurbishment companies who have used there own staff to install and terminate structured cabling but need to supply client with written proof that the installed cabling is functioning within standards.
